Every home, every where should have solar panels installed on the roof tops.

Each home should be generating and contributing to it's electricity usage. Solar panels should be made mandatory attachments to homes all across America. Not just homes could benefit from solar panels. The energy efficient owner's of commercial buildings throughout the United States can attach solar panels to the rooftops.

Light posts should have solar panels attached to generate their own electricity. It is possible. It would not be an extreme makeover. But imagine the savings that could be had if every single lamp post across the States could produce it's own power. Each post could have a unit attached that will conduct the power accordingly. Each light post would still be wired to the main frame, but would be able to produce it's own source of energy for part of the power. It may not seem like much, and I haven't done the math, but I wonder what the possible savings would be. Imagine how much money each city and town could reinvest into the schools or parks.

Bus wait areas should have a solar panel power source to light the surrounding area. I am sure many individuals would be grateful for a bit more peace of mind in regard to public transportation. The buses themselves should be outfitted with solar panels. Rather than worrying about large areas of land to use for a solar power farm, the government should be considering adapting void surfaces for solar panels. I would much rather have a run down and vacant warehouse have solar panels installed on roof tops, then to see good land used up.
